Here we added two pillow shams in a thick corduroy blue that pulls the blue out of the cruel bed duvet, painted the walls a warm, calming blue with green tones in it from Sherwin Williams #7043 Worldy Grey. A new lamp to coordinate with a linen shade that will work with other neutrals in the room.
This was a yellow, red duvet with a bit of orange poking through. We liked the table cloth and worked off this idea. We added a smaller plaid with bumble bees on it and created the ruffle on the duvet, made pillows and a bolster out of fabric scraps we had and put the whole look together. We found some silk fabric reduced through a wholesaler of ours and did the drapes ( shown with windows ) in a carmel, red and gold floral. We jazzed up the finished look with a top and bottom border in bold red, orange and gold stripes in silk!
At IBD we will work to develop your design plan and can take what you'd never think possible and make a custom look all for you. This room we did custom drapes from a Moroccan pattern, balanced it with a textured neutral fitted bed cover and "popped" the drapery coral and blue colors out in the tailored bed-skirt, throw and bolster pillow.
